Capital City is looking for an innovative and career-oriented CTE & Makerspace Teacher to teach high school classes and support our whole-school makerspace program for the 2019- 2020 school year.

The CTE & Makerspace Teacher (CTEM), is responsible for coordinating the makerspace program in conjunction with the library team, and developing our library’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) initiative. The CTEM reports to the Director of Library Services and Technology Integration and works closely with the library team to manage our whole-school library makerspace as well as the Career and Technical Education program in the High School. The CTEM will teach courses that will be available to all students, but will be promoted to students with special needs to support career exploration and skill development.

This is an ideal position for someone interested in incorporating maker-centered learning and technical career skills in a school setting. This is a 10-month position, which is exempt and therefore not eligible for overtime pay under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act
