Join our Exhibit Production team as an Exhibit Fabricator III. Fabricators work primarily in the museum's exhibit production shop, engaged in all aspects of exhibit creation, from supporting preliminary development and design, to prototyping, fabrication, testing, installation, service and repairs. Exhibit Fabricator IIIs are frequently entrusted with broad responsibilities within the exhibit production process, solving problems of function and design, and working with minimal oversight to produce work that meets the museum's very high standards of safety, durability, and craft.

The ideal candidate will have a background and proven interest in science, meticulous attention to detail, and unbridled creativity and curiosity. Applicants must possess the ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative environment on projects that require advanced problem solving and fabrication techniques. The position requires a balance of independent work as well as team work with varied stakeholders. Do you have the skills we need?

Electronics (Arduino, circuit board design, discrete electronics)
Automation (pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical)
Advanced fabrication skills such as machining, welding, and mold making
