Hello Forum Members,
As you know, it's very hard to find workers these days, especially someone who has experience in working with LED strips in Memorial Art! We are creating "America's Wall of Honor" that pays tribute to all members of the U.S. Military and all of our First Responders, in both law enforcement and fire and rescue. The 55'x10' wall includes the official Seals of every branch of the military including Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and National Guard; plus the Presidential Seal for the Commander in Chief; plus Seals for Law Enforcement personnel and Firefighters/EMTs.
To give you an idea of the complexity of the art, the Presidential Seal is made of 607 laser-cut pieces of stainless steel, welded into approximately 17 three-dimensional layers, powder coated for permanent color, and then mounted on three layers of acrylic glass which are embedded with programmed Adafruit LED strips to create red, white, and blue lighting. It's 53" in diameter, and weighs about 800 lbs.! (see attached photo)
We must have the Wall completed by the end of the year to begin a 5-year National Tour through all 50 states, and our artist needs more shop help, for this and future memorial art projects. Specifically we need someone who is experienced in electronics and lighting applications such as this - which is hard to find here in Omaha, Nebraska. If anyone knows someone from this area who might be able to help with the project (even on a part-time basis) we would appreciate your help in getting the word out. If they (or you) are interested in this job, please send an email with a resume to firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks for any help anyone can offer. Dan Stuenzi, CEO
