The Electronic Engineering Technology (ELEN) department is seeking one or more part-time up to full-time college professors to teach courses in the ELEN program for the Winter 2020 academic semester.
Applicants with a degree or diploma in Electronics or Electrical Engineering/Technology (or similar program) will be considered. Membership with a professional Engineering and/or Technology Association is preferred.
The successful candidate should have theoretical knowledge, practical experience and teaching experience that may include, but is not be limited to, some or all of the following topics:
- DC and AC electrical circuits
- Electronic devices and circuits
- Project management and project development.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach lecture and/or lab sections for the assigned courses and to commit to their ongoing development. Duties will include teaching, holding regular office hours, marking all assignment and exams, and reporting grades. All courses have been taught previously and there are notes, assignments, labs, tests, etc. available for instructor use.
The ideal candidate will have an exceptional industrial and teaching record with a demonstrated learner-centered teaching philosophy. An active profile in scholarship, research and creative activity will be considered an asset. The successful applicant will be an integral member of the Electronic Engineering Technology department that is committed to excelling in meeting the needs of both students and industry.
