Description

A Software Engineer is responsible for the production of quality code, effective team participation, and contributions to the continuous improvement of the team. This position will be part of an Agile Scrum team that is responsible for implementing and supporting creative software solutions to keep up with changing demands from our business partners. Some of the technologies and tools used include C#, ASP.NET, .NET MVC, .NET Core, SQL, Visual Studio, IIS, JavaScript (Including JQuery), Node JS, Angular JS, React JS, SOAP, REST, Swagger /YAML, NoSQL (Mongo DB), Docker, TFS, Git, Stash, Bamboo and Octopus Deploy.

  Responsibilities Must be able to…

  • Participate in the analysis, presentation and adoption of new or modified work methods, processes, and technology
  • Utilize best practices and architectural guidelines to build durable, maintainable software that meets business purpose
  • Participate in the work planning for development tasks
  • Deliver excellent customer service with urgency and ownership including production support post-release
  • Provide assistance to and collaboration with team members to accomplish team objectives
  • Demonstrate proven behavioral skills, including being a team player, sound thinking and judgment, achieving results, relating to people, managing work effectively, and leading by example
  • Work in an Agile Development environment

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field with a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • 3 + years of application development experience
  • Must demonstrate the following behavioral competencies: attention to detail, communication, continuous learning, customer service, information seeking, initiative, planning and organization, positive attitude, professionalism, problem solving, and team work
  • Actively influence others to be excited and committed to furthering the organization’s objectives
  • Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screen
  • Generally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your body
  • Ability to operate computer workstation hardware and software
