Modular Robotics - Remote, Part time (20 hrs/wk)

Modular Robotics seeks a Supply Chain Specialist responsible for sourcing and ordering materials, planning inventory needs based on consumer trends, and coordinating product deliveries.  This position will start with the Cubelets product line, and will also serve as support for the GoPiGo product line when needed.  This position reports to the VP of People Operations.

We are looking for someone who can:

Be the first point of contact with a variety of manufacturers located all over the world.
Quickly understand the many components required in a complex, modular supply chain.
Keep track of purchase orders, and manage the manufacturing schedule to optimize inventory.
Discover patterns in order to make data-driven inventory and manufacturing recommendations to the Business Strategy Group.
Communicate clearly with the Sales team, Physical Operations team, and Business Strategy Group to coordinate inbound and outbound inventory effectively.
Communicate with our employee in China to collaborate on overseas parts procurement.
Manage inventory, and review current inventory systems for ways to become more accurate.
Problem-solve independently and with a group to quickly address questions and plan for incoming orders.

This applicant has:

Education or experience in supply chain or manufacturing preferred.
Advanced skills using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
Flexible approaches to problem solving and quantitative analytics.
Knowledge of, or curiosity to learn about, injection molding, electronics, and mechanical manufacturing.
A passion for solving problems and creating order in times of disorder.
A joyful approach to teamwork and communication.
An interest in occasionally working at nontraditional hours to coordinate with international manufacturers.
